Toronto-Based Vegan Cheese Shops

Wandering Deli Will Be Toronto's First Vegan Cheese Market

Toronto-based company Wandering Deli will be opening the city's first-ever vegan cheese shop in the coming months and aims to satisfy consumers' need for artisanal, plant-based alternatives to traditional dairy products.

The company will offer up to 30 different artisanal vegan cheeses and will offer a locally sourced selection. Some teased flavors that will be available in the vegan cheese shop include Smokey Paprika Ash, Almond Feta, Almond Mylk Mozzarella and more that aim to appeal to dairy-free consumers.

Wandering Deli founder Kira Lancaster describes Toronto's budding vegan food scene as her driving force to open the shop. In addition to mentioning the Canadian city's emerging vegan grocery and restaurant scene, Lancaster also acknowledges "Blue Heron in Vancouver and La Fauxmagerie in London" as inspirations that she has admired from afar before opening her own shop.
