Savio Volpe is a Vancouver Restaurant is Based on Traditional Osterias

This Vancouver restaurant boasts a dreamy interior guided by its designers' vision for using a fictitious patriarchal figure named Savio Volpe as its main inspiration. The restaurant is owned by local studio Ste Marie, who also stepped up to design the interior.

Located in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighborhood, Savio Volpe is a restaurant designed around traditional Italian osterias that blends old world flavor with new world design language. In particular, the team at St Marie took inspiration from the works of iconic Italian designers Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari and Carlo Mollino.

Despite its culturally rich inspirations, the Vancouver restaurant wanted to maintain an earthy, simplistic feel that felt like a delicious inexpensive restaurant one would find in Italy.
