Beyoncé and luxury fashion house Balmain work in collaboration to create a collection to help the United Negro College Fund. The singer's Coachella performance this year was iconic -- not only was she the first ever black woman to headline the festival, she celebrates black culture and its history whilst shining a spotlight on the black college experience. The collaborative range will feature three items in total, one of which was worn during her Coachella performance -- a yellow hoodie, a pink hoodie, and a black tee, all boasting a sorority-inspired motif across the front.
The proceeds gathered from the capsule will go towards benefiting the United Negro College Fund. Olivier Rousteing of Balmain explains the importance of the pieces as it speaks to a new generation to encourage them to be a part of history. The charity capsule will be available beginning July 13 at Balmain's Paris flagship location and online at Balmain and Beyoncé's website the following day.
