In response to the terrible tragedies witnessed on social media in recent weeks, software company Microsoft debuted a new initiative to support the black community, called 'United For Change.' The project aims to use Microsoft technology and its voice to create a "more equitable criminal justice system with our Criminal Justice Reform Initiative" as well as improve representation in all its roles and at all levels.
In addition to the new United For Change project, the brand is also donating $250,000 USD to 6 organizations including the Minnesota Freedom Fund, the Black Lives Matter Foundation, the Equal Justice Initiative, the Innocence Project, The Leadership Conference, and the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund.
