Trader Joe's new Tête de Moine Rosettes Semisoft Cheese is a must-try for any cheese lover.
Tête de Moine is one of just 12 Swiss cheeses with a "protected designation of origin." The cheese is made from an 800-year-old recipe and uses part-skim cow’s milk. Once made, the mini wheels of cheese are then matured on spruce wood boards for a minimum of two and a half months. Then, the wheels are placed on a steel post that rotates while a sharp cutting tool is dragged along the surface. The result is super thin slices of cheese that resemble delicate roses.
Trader Joe's Tête de Moine Rosettes Semisoft Cheese takes this rose-shaped cheese and packed it in a ready-to-enjoy format. "When popped in your mouth, the silky, ivory-colored, flower-shaped Cheese literally melts, creating a cheese-eating experience like no other!" the brand explains.
