Wendy's & First Kitchen Released the Tsukimi Mocchi Teriyaki Ginger Burger

Japan's annual tradition of observing the autumn moon is right around the corner and Wendy's Japan has teamed up with First Kitchen to debut two tasty new offerings for the occasion: the Tsukimi Mocchi Teriyaki Ginger Burger and the Tsukimi Mocchi Teriyaki Ginger Chicken Tatsumi Burger.

The Japanese word for this moon-viewing ritual is tsukimi, but tsukimi also used to describe the way you eat noodles with a raw egg cracked into the broth because the yolk somewhat resembles a full moon. With this in mind, Japanese brands have been leaning into the egg imagery for moon viewing offerings and Wendy's and First Kitchen's latest offerings are no exception. Both the Tsukimi Mocchi Teriyaki Ginger Burger and the Tsukimi Mocchi Teriyaki Ginger Chicken Tatsumi Burger feature a fried egg patty alongside a round mochi rice cake and either a burger patty or a crisp fried chicken fillet.
