The TREE Restaurant simulates the idea of dining under a tree as though picnicking in a park or simply eating somewhere outdoors. Beautifully natural and organic, a huge 'tree' is built in the center of the restaurant, making diners feel as though they are eating underneath one huge tree like the Giant Hometree located in Pandora from the 'Avatar' film.
Designed by Koichi Takada Architects, the TREE Restaurant more specifically recreates HANAMI, which is the Japanese tradition of gathering under cherry blossom trees in the spring. Comfortable and tranquil, the TREE Restaurant becomes a safe haven and inviting space that is both relaxing and satiating.
The timber used throughout the TREE Restaurant was cut using CNC technology to minimize waste for an eco-friendly build.
