Yamaki Jozo Makes Tofu with Red Beets and Belgian Chocolate

Most kinds of tofu on the market are differentiated by their level of firmness but Japan's Yamaki Jozo created a pair of uniquely infused tofu blocks for Valentine's Day. The soy product manufacturer released two colorful kinds of tofu, one of which is beet-flavored and shares the vibrant color of a red beet, and another that actually contains Belgian chocolate, which gives the tofu block a dessert-like appearance.

These creatively infused tofu products have the potential to inspire creative new dishes. Yamaki Jozo recommends trying the beet-infused tofu with salt and green onions, or serving it with a granola-style cereal, or serving the chocolate-infused tofu block with walnuts on top. Ahead of February 14th, the Valentine's Tofu is being sold online in sets of two.
