The Amsterdam-based hotel chain citizenM is making its American debut with a Time Square hotel.
Designed by the Concrete Architectural Association, the hotel accommodates 230 signature guest rooms. Located below the guest rooms is a living room plaza, an impressive double height space at the heart of the hotel, featuring artwork by Julian Opie and a rooftop bar. Open to both guests and locals, the rooftop bar acts as a metropolitan social hub.
The design is meant to give mobile citizens of the world more bang for their buck. It offers a luxurious experience for a fraction of the cost by removing unnecessary items. Staying true to its creative ethos, the guest rooms measure at 150 square feet and provide only the absolute essentials: a great bed and an even greater rain shower.
