The Toronto International Film Festival wraps up tomorrow and with it, so do the red carpet fashions. The event ran from September 6-15 and brought a whole slew of media and celebs to Ontario's capital city. With high end sponsors like Swarovski, all the building blocks were in place for a star-studded affair complete with phenomenal wardrobes.
The Globe and Mail gives their rundown of the best fashions from Toronto's red carpet. Leanne Delap's top pics for the ladies included Reese Witherspoon, Kate Bosworth, and Tilda Swinton.
Topping the men's lists were Viggo Mortensen and Jude Law who "has made the Alfie mod thing his own, skinny tie, skinny pants, high-cut arms. His boyish pixie haircut adds an insolent, playful note."
Where there's a best dressed list, there's also a worst dressed list. Topping the charts for appalling apparel were George Clooney and Helen Hunt who "has now officially joined the middle-aged-broad club. No matter what the animal, a blouse in a savage print says cougar. The red carpet is where you play lady, not tramp." Ouch!
Other dressers in distress include Cate Blanchett who was wearing what "looks like a bordello bedskirt", Andre 3000 and Jennifer Garner who "looks like she caught the wrong limo: The prom is out in Scarborough, honey. Bouffy taffera bows in one's chest are good only for catching crumbs."
Delap was really out with a steaming iron; guess she burned her chance to score interviews with these celebs!
