Starbucks Dreams Up Theatrical Drinks Celebrating Wicked

Starbucks works together with Universal Pictures to create a line of theatrical drinks to celebrate the new Wicked movie launching soon. It features the Pink Potion honoring Glinda and Elphaba's Cold Brew, both of which are launched today. Each drink showcases the different personalities of the leading witches. The Pink Potion has Mango Dragonfruit Refrshers blended with coconut milk and freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces and strawberry cold foam on top. The Cold Brew takes the signature coffee with a twist of peppermint syrup and matcha cold foam for color.

Beverage developer at Starbucks, Natalia Vasquez shares, "When dreaming up this beverage, we were inspired by Glinda’s bright character and her iconic association with all things pink. This colorful beverage is topped with a nondairy cold foam infused with strawberry puree to add even more pops of pink, along with colorful candy sprinkles for a drink that is as vibrant as Glinda herself." Rosalyn Batingan adds, "We were inspired by Elphaba’s bold energy and stunning green skin when creating this recipe. Our signature cold brew gets an unexpected twist of peppermint topped with a nondairy matcha cold foam for a touch of Elphaba’s famous green, finished with colorful candy sprinkles."
