The Monastery is an office space that fosters meditative reflection and silence in addition to creative and imaginative brainstorming. Inspired by gardens in monasteries, the crowning feature of the The Monastery's interior space is the brick and wood partition that has various nooks and crannies to hold plant life as well as people looking for sanctuary to rest and relax in.
Designed by Arild Eriksen and Joakim Skajaa of Eriksen Skajaa Architects for Netlife Research, The Monastery is clean and minimalist overall. As people move further away from the center partition, they will see that the structure adopts a more futuristic vibe that blends with the monastery theme interestingly. The white and black walls, steel ceiling air ducts and glass rooms contrast beautifully with the occasional wooden accents that are like oases throughout the otherwise contemporary building.
