Aleph Farms and the Technion are Exploring the Future of Meat

Aleph Farms and research partner Technion are introducing the future of meat with the first-of-its-kind slaughter-free ribeye steak. Created with 3D bioprinting technology and real cow cells, the proprietary technology was rapidly developed after the unveiling of a cultivated thin-cut steak in 2018, which did not leverage bioprinting.

Thanks to this innovation, the company has the power to produce any type of steak and it plans to expand the range of high-quality cultured meat products that it offers. Unline 3D printing, the 3D bioprinting technology works with living cells that have the capacity to grow, differentiate and interact with one another to create products that mimic the properties of their non-cultured counterparts. The cultured ribeye steak is said to have "the same organoleptic attributes of a delicious tender, juicy ribeye steak you'd buy from the butcher."
Trend Themes
1. Cultivated Meat - The use of 3D bioprinting technology in creating slaughter-free meat products opens up opportunities for the future of meat production.
