Originally designed by Danish craftsman Holger Nielsen in 1939, The Dotted Vipp Bin is a tribute to the first pedal bin that was supposed to remain in his wife's salon but instead took over the world.
The Dotted Vipp Bin was created exclusively for the opening of the Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo, Norway. A limited amount of garbage bins will be sold at this location. Hirst writes, "I’ve always loved colour, playing with colour, moving colours around. Designing a Vipp bin using spots makes the Vipp bin joyful."
