This fall, Dog Haus is teaming up with Würstmacher Adam Gertler and Cajun chef Isaac Toups to create a gourmet sausage called 'The Big Easy.'
As you might have guessed from the name, The Big Easy is inspired by New Orleans flavors. The new hot dog option starts with Chaurice sausage, which is native to Louisiana and a cousin of Spanish chorizo. This sausage boasts a robust flavor profile featuring notes of garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. To balance out the spicy flavors, the creole chaurice sausage is topped with a combo of caramelized onions, pickled jalapeños, mayo, spicy brown mustard, and scallions, on a slightly sweet grilled King’s Hawaiian roll.
The Big Easy will be available nationwide from October 1 through November 30, 2021.
