The tallest building in South America will hold its grand opening in 2012 in Santiago, Chile. It will be located in the Providencia region of Santiago and reach a height of 300 meters. The complex in which the building will be placed is looking to for obtain a LEED Gold certification, and hopes to utilize various sustainable design strategies for better, and greener, efficiency.
Originally designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, the development is now under the control of Alemparte and Barreda Architects. The impressive center will include a shopping mall, restaurants, two hotels, two shopping markets as well as a theater.
