Thanks to the Speedo Shine watch design, athletes can now use a waterproof swimming tracker to monitor their progress and workouts directly via their smartphone. This innovative device works just like a traditional fitness tracker except that it is fully waterproof, allowing swimmer to keep it on their person while training.
The Speedo Shine is a project made in collaboration between Misfit and Speedo to create a wearable device that swimmers can use while in the water. The device is shaped much like a watch with a flat, circular face complete with a wristband or as a separate magnetic clip. Unlike a conventional fitness tracker, the Speedo Shine doesn't need to be charged thanks to its six month battery span and can be dunked into water up to 50-meters deep. The data collected through the device can be tracked and reviewed using the accompanying app, Speedo Fit.
