Winding Water Calligraffiti

Sweeping Beauty II by Niels Meulman Was Made in a Hurry

Sweeping Beauty II by Niels Meulman is a piece of calligraffiti that was made only with water and a big brush. Calligraffiti is the artistic combination of calligraphy and street art, but Meulman decided to change it up a bit by using water instead of paint.

Meulman races to spell out the word "beauty" because by the time he has reached the last letter, the first letter has already begun to dry. The end result is a curving and twisting piece of street art that looks like it was written by a giant with excellent handwriting.

The use of water as an art material was an extremely creative idea, but it was vital that the calligraffiti be recorded on video otherwise no one would have been able to see it.
