This seaside surf retreat allows participants to not only connect with nature, but also disconnect from technology. In collaboration with mindful tech brand Folk Rebellion, Discover Outdoors is offering a surf and seaside yoga retreat this August in New York.
The exclusive "Digital Detox adventure" is taking place at a New Jersey beach, with surf instruction included. Labeled at an intensity level of 6, the surf retreat will keep participants active for five to eight hours, including an 11 mile hike (almost a half-marathon).
Discover Outdoors offers a number of trip types, including day trips, their 3500 series, adventure travel and multi-day excursions. Described as "the premiere adventure outfitter for city dwellers," the organization gets urban inhabitants to explore more and partake in meaningful experiences outside.
