Subway Unveils a Spicy Ghost Pepper Addition to its Main Menu

Subway is expanding its menu options to include new spicy options for consumers who desire a healthy kick. The new artisan Italian bread features ghost pepper, habanero, and paprika-seasoned panko breadcrumbs. To finish, this bread is decked with cheddar cheese and pickled jalapeño slices.

"It’s been three years since Subway added a new sub bread to our menu, so we wanted to surprise our guests with something unexpected and capable of elevating every sub on our menu," Paul Fabre, Subway’s senior vice president of culinary and innovation, said in a statement.

In a playful marketing campaign, the brand has also been inviting customers who have "ghosted" someone to rekindle the relationship while locking in all of the fun rewards Subway has to offer. To participate, customers can visit a dedicated website from October 17 to 20.
