Constructed at CalPoly San Luis Obispo's Studio 400, STUCK is a massive web-like structure created with 600 rolls of packing tape by 18 architecture students. The surreal structure is made up of intertwining tunnels and tendrils and can be climbed and explored while video projections play on the packing tape walls.
The tunnels of the STUCK installation have been reinforced six times in order to accommodate people's weight and can hold five people at a time. The final papers by the students are also included in the design, hung in egg-like sacs from the ceiling of the studio, similarly made from packing tape.
Taking only four days to assemble, STUCK is a mesmerizing interactive installation that does a lot to engage young people in possibly pursuing a career in design.
