The 'Strawberry Biscuit Ale' is Inspired by Hardee's Scratch Biscuits

The Southern Grist Brewing Company announced its latest canned beer beverage titled the 'Strawberry Biscuit Ale.' This ale is inspired by the 'Made from Scratch Biscuits' offered by Hardee's. As such, the beer features a combination of the ingredients in the biscuits, combined with traditional beer ingredients and an additional strawberry puree for a sweet taste, and then fermented.

When creating the Strawberry Biscuit Ale, Owen Klein, the VP of CKE Restaurants, stated: "Every subsequent batch we doubled the amount of Hardee’s biscuits in it to make the biscuit flavor come out," continuing on to state that the company settled on 22 batches of biscuits being the sweet spot for a perfect balance of flavor in the resulting ale.

The Strawberry Biscuit Ale will be available at a number of Hardee's locations across the United States, as well as from The Southern Grist Brewing Company. It is important to note, though, that most Hardee's locations cannot sell alcohol, so this drink will be limited to those that can.
