Courier app DoorDash is partnering with 7-11 to offer convenience store delivery in select cities across the States, including Los Angeles and New York City.
Previously just another restaurant delivery app, DoorDash is seeking to distinguish itself by moving into the overlooked territory of convenience store delivery. With the wide variety of items available from 7-11, DoorDash users will never again have to leave their couches to procure a lighter, a can of cat food, a pack of gum, a lottery ticket or a Taquito.
Courier apps are expanding business to offer delivery of almost anything, from marijuana deliveries by drone to send-away cobbler services. With this new convenience store delivery app, the days when delivery meant pizza or Chinese are being left in the dust.
