For artist and illustrator Monica Khemsurov, inspiration for spontaneous art can come about at any given moment. While on vacation, Khemsurov came up with her next project idea using whatever material was readily available.
Khemsurov's six week trip to Porto, Portugal can now be remembered through a print series she made using local leaves she found combined with stickers and tape. With a rather ingenious idea, Khemsurov was able to produce visually interesting, playful and whimsical art pieces using everyday items.
Furthermore, using leaves she collected during her travels, Khemsurov has a much more creative way of remembering her vacation to go along with pictures and videos. Perhaps Khemsurov's unique DIY project can inspire other vacation goers to carry on her inventive and inexpensive method of creating personal souvenirs.
