The creator of Scrappy's Bitters has unveiled 'Half-Seas' -- a refreshing line of canned cocktails that feature pungently zesty flavors like gin and berries, tequila and grapefruit and rum and lime.
The bubbly collection has arrived just in time for summer, with tart and sweet flavor profiles that are prominent but not overwhelming. The line of three tropically packaged 20cl cans contain original expressions like Bramble, Daiquiri and Paloma, each of which contain their own alcoholic spirit.
Seattle-based bartender Miles Thomas found inspiration for his line of summer-ready drinks from the term "half-seas over" -- an expression derived from the nautical lexicon of sailor's from the 1700s. 'Half-Seas' is a reference to a ship so heavily-laden, it causes sea water to wash over the deck, and to the "leisure and pleasure of imbibing."
The carefree nature of canned alcoholic beverages is perfectly embodied through Half-Seas' sparkling canned cocktails as they maintain fruity, summer-fresh flavors in portable, pre-mixed vessels.
