Iconic Summery Fragrances

Sol de Janeiro's First Fragrance is Based on the Scent of a Hero Product

Sol de Janeiro is known for its brightly packaged Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and its signature scent with nutty top notes, jasmine petals, heliotrope, vanilla, salted caramel and sandalwood. This "scent of summer" inspired the creation of the brand's first fragrance, SOL Cheirosa ’62. As its name suggests, the fragrance is all about traveling back in time to 1962 "when the world first met the Girl from Ipanema and fell in love with Brazil."

Although this is a challenging time for new products to be launched, many consumers are already familiar with the iconic scent. As such, the Sol de Janeiro fragrance is reported to have sold 900% more than the second-best-selling fragrance on Sephora's online site on its launch day.
