This socially conscious hotel provides employment and housing opportunities for young refugees. The next time you need a place to stay in Vienna, the Magdas Hotel is for open minded tourists who will share the boutique accommodations with the refugees.From non-profit organization Caritas, the social business and guesthouse raises awareness while also giving affluent travelers a truly unique experience.

Instead of seeing refugees as faceless statistics, the socially conscious hotel asks the other guests to see them as human beings making a contribution to society. Most of the staff at the Magdas Hotel are refugees and asylum seekers under 18 who use the hotel lounge as their living room.

This fall they also hope to launch an apprenticeship program as well as NGOs in other European cities.
