Atelier d’More Designs the Sleeping Lab Hotel in Beijing

Shanghai-based design studio Atelier d’More takes a concrete brick building and transforms it into a beautiful hotel now dubbed the Sleeping Lab hotel. It is located right outside of Beijing, China, and functions as a boutique hotel that is complete with a courtyard full of sculptural concrete dividers as a nod to its original structure. It is right in Huangmuchang Village, which was a space of residential homes and offices.

Upon entering the space, the ground floor has a tea room, dining space, and a kitchen, with guest rooms starting off on the first floor. The studio states that "Given the lack of scenery in the surrounding environment, we decided to create an inward view and create an interesting private garden."
