Inserted Skyscraper Gardens

Kohn Pedersen Fox & Architects 61 Develop a Mixed-used Tower

Nature and sustainability are a growing movement in 2019 and this can be observed in a multitude of ways — one great example is this skyscraper garden. Inserted in a 175-meter-tall tower in Singapore, this green-forward project is the work of Kohn Pedersen Fox and Architects 61.

The towering building is the site of offices, retail spaces, and the aforementioned skyscraper garden that seeks to instill balance in terms of material. The feature also answeres to Singapore's Landscape Replacement Policy which was passed in 2014. It states that "any greenery lost due to development must be replaced."

Towers traditionally have an alienating effect in the urban setting, however, this skyscraper garden introduces an element of naturality that can bring people together.
