In response to the growing popularity of short term vacation rental sites like Airbnb, FlipKey and VRBO, the Four Seasons launched its own place for people to find short term accommodations called 'Residential Rentals.' Currently, the site includes listings for 13 properties, including urban residences, upscale villas and holiday homes in locations across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Americas.
As well as being able to book a stay, travelers are also able to make special reservations like private chefs, housekeepers, a chauffeur, as well as special requests for arrival like a fully stocked fridge and childproofing.
Jose Soriano the VP of Worldwide Residential Operations at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts describes that the new Residential Rentals caters to "multi-generational and small group travel, guests who want to get away with children, grandparents or groups of friends to celebrate holidays or mark special moments."
