The idea of a shoe packaging box with an integrated string for carrying is not a new one, but designer Sara Palén reinvisions the concept with more of a fashion focus. The student designer from Mid Sweden University was challenged to come up with a shoe packaging system that could be kept for storage purposes without being unsightly or wasteful. The result is a box for a pair of Ida Hillebjörk clogs with a built-in strap that reduces the need for any plastic to carry the shes home in.
Inspired by the aesthetic and function of the show bag, Palén also carried this look through with the design of a retail bag, a graphic brand manual, business cards and hang tags.
