Shake Shack's breakfast taco is the newest collaboration from the New York City-based burger chain. Shake Shack has had its fair share of culinary collaborations, having partnered with Pizzeria Vetri, Publican Quality Meats and Michelin-starred Chef Zaiyu Hasegawa, all of which offered incredible eats at an affordable price. These collaborations have elevated the burger chain to high status among foodies and continues to perpetuate the brand as a food-focused chain.
Shake Shack's breakfast taco is the latest collaboration with an award-winning chef that will only be available for one day. Created by chef Rosio Sanchez, the breakfast tacos come filled with pork belly, cured egg yolk, avocado and hot sauce. Sanchez, who previously worked at the award-winning restaurant Noma, is the current chef-owner of Copenhagen-based taqueria Hija de Sanchez and is hoping to bring her creative tacos to the Shake Shack menu.
Sanchez has also created a limited-edition sandwich for the menu, which features fried chicken, chile-de-árbol oil, guajillo-chili mayo, avocado, pickled onions, Boston lettuce, and crema. Both items will be sold at Shake Shack's Madison Square Park location and a dollar from every item purchased will be given to the charitable group Mujeres Latinas en Acción.
