Multi-Sensory Child Gardens

Alton Towers' Something Special Sensory Garden is Educational and Fun

The Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire recently opened up a CBeeies Land for kids this May with a Something Special Sensory Garden that supports a range of learning styles. The garden is set up so that kids are immersed in nature along a safe woodland trail outdoors, where they are challenged to keep their eyes peeled for certain objects while they explore, play, learn and all the while, develop language skills.

The Something Special Sensory Garden is spacious with lots to do, see, smell and touch, encouraging kids to put all of their senses to work as they adventure through Mr. Tumble's park. Challenges include keeping quiet around the house of Grandad Tumble as he tries to nap, as well as exploring alongside some well-known characters like Postman Pat, Igglepiggle, Mike the Knight and Tree Fu Tom.
