Ashley Conway of Craft & Cocktails created a seasonal cocktail that uses a beautiful cherry blossom for its garnish. She was inspired to create the drink by the Japanese celebration of the blooming of the vibrant trees, causing her to collaborate with her friends in order to learn more about the culture and tradition.
Ingredients include cherry jam, a flower-infused vermouth, gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. All are thrown into a shaker filled with ice shaken for no more than 15 seconds. Once this is done, the liquid is poured through a strainer into the appropriate glasses and then topped off with the cherry blossoms. If cherry blossoms aren't handy, Ashley Conway recommends using rose petals or another edible flower instead for this stunning seasonal cocktail.
