Thanks to a commitment from Diageo North America, Seagram’s 7 Crown Bottles will now be made from 100% recycled plastic, marking the first-of-its-kind innovation for both the brand and the group. All sizes of Seagram’s 7 Crown bottles will be made without virgin plastics and this is a change that will help to reduce the use of virgin plastic by nearly 1,000 tons annually—which is the equivalent to about 100 million 500-milliliter plastic bottles.
By the end of the month, new bottles from Seagram’s 7 Crown range will be on shelves in the United States, where they can be seen alongside existing glass packaging. With both of these packaging choices, Diageo is encouraging consumers to recycle so that the materials can be reused again.
