A comfortable and relaxing beach house called Rockledge Residence, set against the picturesque landscape of their California beach landscape, was designed and created for a family and their guests. The companies in charge were the architects of Horst Architects in collaboration with interior design firm Aria Design.
The two-storey, white walled and concrete structure is located in the mild coastal climate of Laguna Beach in California. The interior and exterior spaces are merged together through the overall structure of the house, with interconnecting spaces that lead outdoors. The structure is composed of the main residence area with an outdoor terrace and a guest house, which is detached from the main building.
The interior space features panoramic views of the beach below that allows for natural daylight to flow into the inner space. The ground level consists of the main living areas including the kitchen, the living room and the dining room; while the second level is the master bedroom, complete with an en suite bathroom unit.
