The first ever Silicon Valley Art Fair is where tech will meet art and this theme can definitely be seen in some of the robot art projects that will be on display at the show. KATSU, an hacker, artist and vandal is presenting 'Innovative Drone Paintings,' an abstract art series that was made by drone.
KATSU rigged the drone to become a painter bot equipped to carry a can of spray paint and apply it to a canvas. What makes the drone paintings so unique is that the drone's propellers always cause the spray to flick to the right and several distinct markings act like brushstrokes, revealing the motions of the drone as it moves through the air.
Since drones have become more affordable for the average consumer, this drone's Jackson Pollock-like art may prove to be more budget-friendly too.
