McDonald's has teamed up with the Roald Dahl Literary Estate and Penguin Random House Children’s UK to give away specially made books by literary icon Roald Dahl.
For a limited time, children who order a Happy Meal will be given a small version of one of Roald Dahl's books instead of a toy. Some of the stories featured in the giveaway include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG and Matilda. The Happy Meals will incorporate Quentin Blake’s famous illustrations as well as fun activities associated with the books.
The inclusion of classic children's books to McDonald's Happy Meals is an inventive way to introduce a new generation of kids to literary classics. It is also an opportunity for parents to reminisce over their childhood and relive some of the stories they read as a child, with their very own kids.
