'Ritual' is a popular app that allows people to order their food online for pickup at participating restaurants to prevent having to wait in line and it now has a service that does the same for ferry rides.
In a collaboration with the City of Toronto, Ritual allows people to order ferry tickets in advance for people leaving from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. Users of the app can simply show their ticket on their phone at the dedicated entry and go through easily, without having to wait in long lines to buy tickets.
Toronto's Mayor John Tory believes this will improve the experience of attending the Toronto Island and make it hassle-free for tourists and general visitors.
