Developed by the Digital Media Design Department at Hongik University in Korea, the Mask of Emotion helmet was designed to hide real emotions by creating a different set of fake facial expressions that could be used in conversation in public spaces.
The mask displays LED emoticons which are triggered by external stimuli such as a smile. Its creators say it was designed to hide real emotions and -- literally -- mask them with the fabricated facial expressions offered by the mask.
This has got to be one of the most ridiculous gadgets I have ever seen and I'd never want to run into someone wearing this because I may never stop laughing.
