Pioneer-Themed Editorials

Daphne Groeneveld stars in Richard Bush’s pioneer-themed story for the spring issue of i-D magazine. Cheekily titled 'Curtsy While You’re Thinking, It Saves Time,' Daphne poses both outdoors in the Scottish countryside as well as in the studio.

Sarah Richardson’s old world-esque styling includes pieces from Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada, Pringle of Scotland and Mulberry, amongst others. The long jackets and skirts, knee socks, pearls, and paisley prints bring us back to a bygone era. Makeup artist Mathias van Hooff accented the rugged feel of the shoot with bronzed skin and bare lips. Hair stylist Karin Bigler finished with perfectly tousled locks. Daphne’s androgynous and ever-so-rebellious poses were exactly what the editorial needed alongside its old-fashioned styling.
