If you have ever wondered what it would be like to visit Melbourne, Australia, but don't have the funds or the ability to travel, Remote Control Tourist is the way to go.
The virtual experience uses social media to interact with two real life tourists, who you can give instructions. This also works if you want to do a test run before going yourself one day as you control the activities of the explorers on the ground.
The crowdsourced livestream is available eight hours a day from October 9 to 13. The travel guide from Tourism Victoria was orchestrated by Clemenger BBDO, Director Jason Zada and Exit Films. The Remote Control Tourist website also has a map of the culturally rich city, so people at home have a starting point.
