The Re-lighting Gino Sarfatti collection pays tribute to arguably the most important lighting designer in the history of Italian design. It marks what would have been his 100th birthday with the modernization of five timeless lamps. A project put together by Italian lighting manufacturer Flos in collaboration with curators Marco Romanelli and Sandra Severi Sarfatti, it is a retrospective that will be put on display at the Triennale di Milano.
Essentially, the Re-lighting Gino Sarfatti collection gave professionals and the general public the opportunity to re-envision his masterpieces, the results of which are placed beside the originals. These original models include the Modello 607, Modello 1095, Modello 1063, Modello 548 and Modello 2129. Each of them have been outfitted with contemporary energy saving LED light bulbs.
