German artist Tobias Rehberger has taken over a gallery space at the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt museum with a display of whimsical optical illusions using only monochrome graphics to play tricks on the viewer's eye. The gallery exhibition called the Home and Away and Outside exhibition displays over 60 sculptures, paintings and installations, split into three themes.
The first section of the exhibition is called dazzle camouflage and features optical illusions that were created by geometrically printed black and white patterns. The second space features an entirely white exhibition with functional sculptures. The third space occupies the building's lobby, featuring a sculpture made from neon tubes, used fairground lights and advertising signs that hang from the ceiling casting a "REGRET" shadow onto the white stage on the ground.
