SmartSweets' Red Twists are a Better-for-You Take on Licorice

SmartSweets is putting a better-for-you spin on red licorice twists with its newest product, Red Twists, which contain just two grams of sugar per each 1.8-ounce bag. The bags also offer 12 grams of fiber in the form of a snack that's entirely plant-based, gluten-free and full of berry flavor.

The Red Twists are free from artificial flavors, sweeteners and colors, as well as sugar alcohols and added sugar. Intentionally created to be a healthier option to traditional red licorice twists, SmartSweets' Red Twists are described as "92% less sugar than other licorice" and "38% less calories than the other licorice."

In place of sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners, these low-sugar sweets make the most of high-quality, natural sweeteners like monk fruit and allulose.
