The Seattle Public Library's 2013 reading campaign was a record-breaking success, the library set a new world record for The Longest Book Domino Chain.
The stunt was designed to encourage people to "expand their horizons" by reading. On this theme, the incredibly long giant domino-effect started with a book titled 'Before the Fall,' and ended with a book called 'Horizons.' The video captures the toppling books meandering throughout the interior of the Seattle Library.
After over 2,000 titles had been tipped over, the books were boxed up and returned to the library for what the library promises will be a "record-setting" book sale. The inventive reading campaign has earned the library a lot of coverage and has hopefully inspired youth to delve into a new book.
