Meta is launching the first drag show in the Metaverse called Queens of the Metaverse and it is set to explore how technology can be used to usher in a new era of mixed-reality performances. This first-of-its-kind mixed-reality drag show was conceptualized to "unlock possibilities in fashion design" according to Meta and it will put three performers front and center: Blu Hydrangea (the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. The World'), Tia Kofi (pop artist and star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2) and Adam All (a well-known Drag King.)
With Queens of the Metaverse, the drag queens and king will debut a drag look using Meta’s VR and AR technologies and the work of designers from the LGBTQ+ community.
