The first ever QR haircuts have been created ahead of the FA Cup, with the Betfair Mobile Bromley campaign.
Betfair has recruited Wayne Rooney's hair stylist Daniel Johnson to cut QR codes in players' heads. Bromely FC has been signed up to trial the unusual marketing initiative ahead of their game against Leyton Orient this Saturday.
The QR cuts took over an hour each to shave into the teams' heads given the intricate detailing. When spectators take a photo of the players' heads on their smartphone, they will automatically be directed to the Betfair mobile site.
The Betfair Mobile Bromley campaign is a marketing first for football, and follows Betfair's recent activity, which saw them place QR codes on the British Volleyball teams bottoms targeting snap-happy spectators.
