Pop-Up Calendars

Project Each Day With Johann Volkmer's Faltjahr 2010

Old enough to wield an x-acto knife? Well, Johann Volkmer certainly is, as skillfully demonstrated with his pop-up calendar, Faltjahr 2010. Aged 27, the German-born graphic designer breathes some much needed life into the run-of-the-mill 2-dimensional calendar, re-interpreting the playful pop-up book for a new use.

Almost as fun as the Christmas Countdown Calendars (I say "almost" only because there is chocolate involved in the countdown ones!), Johann Volkmer's pop-up calendar entertains you each month with a different sculpture. Cutting paper has never been so much fun and informing.
