The Plank Light is both rugged and refined. As its name suggests, it is made out of a plank of wood. Although some people might wonder at how refined a piece of raw lumber can be, the Plank Light offers an easy answer. A strip of LED lights have been sandwiched between two sanded boards, which give the fixture a magical quality.
Designed by Frida Ottemo Fröberg and Marie-louise Gustafsson for Northern Lighting, the Plank Light is simple, yet full of character. It can be leaned up against a wall as a floor lamp or hung from wires as a pendant lamp. Made out of either light poplar or darker Southern yellow pine, the Plank Light is perfect for both modern and traditional homes looking to add more rustic decor elements.
